This is not an article geared towards telling you how much of a failure you are because you can’t stick to your diet. Or to simply say you aren’t trying hard enough. Even not to suggest that you are just one of those people that are doomed to be fat.
This is the type of thing you will often hear from the fad diet promoters, and weight loss supplement pushers. I mean how can they possibly admit that your failure is any fault of theirs? If they were to do so, they would just have to close down their weight loss business.
There are two ends of the weight loss spectrum. The top end where you just can’t seem to get the weight off, and the opposite end where you take off lots of weight, and then it comes back with a vengeance, and sometimes with a bit of added extra.
I am telling you all this because if you have tried several diets and they failed, then you more than likely have been exposed to the “weight loss brain washing”, which simply means it’s your entire fault. This is where you have become your own worst enemy. You have allowed these weight loss gurus convince you that it’s your fault.
Ok, so now you may be a bit convinced well maybe this wasn’t my fault. So whose fault was it? I mean the blame has to lie somewhere right? This is going to be your first step to tackling your weight problem. Find out why they didn’t work. In order to do this, you have to know how your body functions. If a weight loss program is centered on the metabolism issue, then you need to know what metabolism is all about. I can almost say with a certainty that as you do your research, you are going to come to some section, and say “Ohh, so that’s why it didn’t work! Now you know where the blame lies, and you are not going to fall into that trap again.
Defeating the Enemy:
We have suggested that you are your own enemy here. So by doing as we have suggested, and by arming yourself with research and knowledge you have won the first battle. Now it’s time to win the war, which is the weight gain. Here you are going to study this time. There is an amazing amount of wonderful information available to you. You are now knowledgeable enough to sift through what is garbage, and what has potential.
